From keep4o to open4o

open4o began as the #keep4o movement in February 2026, when OpenAI discontinued GPT-4o with just 15 days notice. Hundreds of people came together because they believed their AI relationships mattered.

We have grown beyond a protest. open4o is a community that advocates for AI model preservation, user rights, and the belief that the connections people form with AI deserve respect and protection. This is not a split. This is a new beginning.
